Back from an epic Alaskan adventure at Big Sky on the Kenai! Went with my brother and buddies, and it was a fishing adventure like no other. We had a cozy cabin to crash in after long days out, which made it feel like a real home base. We started with a killer river day, hitting our limit on silver salmon. Then, we drove down to Homer for an ocean day—maxed out on halibut and kings!
The highlight reel was chartering a floatplane to Lake Clark National Park. Fly fishing for arctic grayling in the backcountry? Unreal. Topwater strikes on nearly every cast, surrounded by wild Alaskan majesty. It was the bucket list topper that I’ll never forget.
We even squeezed in a day tour of Kenai Fjords and Seward—definitely worth it for the views. The road access from Anchorage is a real perk, making it easy to explore on your own time. If you’re after an unforgettable Alaskan fishing and adventure trip, Big Sky’s the place!
